This is the first volume in a new series titled Advances in
Population: Psychosocial Perspectives. The aim of the series is to
present work at a more abstract level, rather than results of empirical
research on specific topics. The series hopes to focus on three types

methodological in nature....Third,...[it] should also provide the
opportunity for researchers to overview results from the programmatic
investigations concerning population related phenomena."
