"Dwelling records include counts by class of dwelling by number of rooms, number of inmates, material of outer walls, nature of occupancy, facilities, number of vehicles, and reason for being unoccupied. Person records include counts for males and females by age, birthplace, nationality, period of residence, religion, education, occupational status, marital status, occupation, industry and major activity."

This data file consists of 26,759 logical records and has accompanying technical documentation. It contains "basic counts and associated geographic codes for every Collection District (CD) in Australia. This information allows simpler aggregation to higher level geographic areas and facilitates comparisons with previous census data."
The geographic codes are used to produce higher level aggregates for population data, including counts for males, females, and total population. There are also indicators to facilitate comparison to the 1971 and 1976 census collection districts.

The file "contains data on all persons in the selected households, and therefore allows a user to produce tabulations on characteristics of households, dwellings, families and persons, and to study how characteristics of household or family members are interrelated."

These files contain U.N. demographic estimates since 1950 and projections to 2025 for 191 countries, regions, and areas with a population of at least 300,000. Based on statistics available in 1984, the files contain data at five-year intervals on population by sex and age, growth rates, crude birth rates, crude death rates, total fertility rates, life expectancy at birth, and infant mortality rates.

The file "presents 30 series of population projections [for the United States] classified by age, sex, and race for July 1 of each year, 1983 to 2080. Projections are provided for 102 age categories and 3 race categories (total, White, and Black). In addition, data are provided on births and deaths. Immigration projections are provided for each year by age, sex, and race."

This public use data tape contains 116,228 records concerning fertility and marital history and 58,221 records concerning fertility history alone and has accompanying technical documentation. It "features marital and fertility history data for ever-married women 15 years and over and for single women 18 years and over. In addition to these data for approximately 62,000 women, information for male adults 15 years and over (approximately 52,000 respondents) on the number of times married and how their first marriage ended are also contained in the data file. Marital history data for females center on the dates of marriage, separation, and termination for the first two and the last marriage."
Also included is fertility information "for the woman's first four and last born child. For each child, in addition to the child's date of birth, data on current residence have been collected, including whether or not the child is living with his/her father, grandparents, or adoptive parents. Birth expectations data were additionally collected in this supplement for all women 18 to 39 years old."

Data were collected on fertility, marriage, migration, education, employment, and contraceptive use since 1978. The tape contains two data files: 1) a Respondent File containing the data from the individual respondent questionnaires for the 3,175 women with completed interviews, and 2) a Household File containing the data for each of the 4,500 households that were in the sample."

This file contains 18,599 logical records (with a record length of 6,202 characters) and comes with technical documentation. It is a report on a survey conducted in the United States between October and December 1982; the responses were linked to Social Security Administration data on benefits. Included are "representative samples of new social security beneficiaries as retired workers, as disabled workers, and as wives, widows, divorced wives, and surviving divorced wives. It also has a representative sample of persons aged 65 or older who are entitled to Medicare benefits but who have not yet received social security (OASDI) cash benefits."
Among the topics covered in the questionnaire are "household composition, employment history, job characteristics of the current, last, and longest job, other employment not covered by social security, health, sources of income and amounts of income received in the last 3 months, asset holdings and income from assets, marital history, and child care."
